I have to very much DISAGREE with Anthony Fantano on MUSE. He is NOT a fan! But I respect his opinion. I will say, the idea that The Resistance was a bit of a Rorschach test actually makes some sense. And music IS political, Anthony! Matt Bellamy himself said that he hasn’t been happy with the past couple albums, either. Also remember, dude, Matt was in a terrible marriage and this record was his release. Anthony is BRUTAL in his rating, although he does have some fair criticisms. See, I DO watch things I disagree with, because I know he knows what he’s talking about. Personally, I think The WOW! I keep Reaching Out but nothing is coming yet. It’s a rough time for so many, and I’m being so impatient. I simply can’t give up, and the best thing I can do is keep doing my thing with focusing my attention on what fulfills me. I want to write so much more. But I’m sort of in a bit of a holding pattern, and it’s frustrating. Although I am definitely seeing Ella Langley and I did commit to the Daisy Chains Fields Festival if the VIP tickets do come through for me. So I am working towards building a flood of positive momentum if just one thing breaks right.
